at the children's hospital in capital city. there's a whole bunch of stuff in our barn. there's a lot of fixing to be done. i'd be very glad to assist your ladies, timmy. i'll offer them my services tomorrow. but for today, holly and i have come an awful long way. we'll have to leave you now and seek out a place to spend the night. it's been a great pleasure making your acquaintance, timmy. and you, too, lassie. mr. nicholson, why don't you come home with us? i'll ask mom if she can fix you a bed. holly can sleep in the barn! well, we'd be indebted to you. the barn would be find for holly and for me, too, because i've got a bed in the wagon. . not much in the way of cloud cover. you are looking northbound towards the city. when i was out on the front lawn a minute ago i was looking to the west and you could see a few high and thin clouds, but they will not do anything to dim out the sunshine. 33 degrees right now and a light breeze out of the southwest at 5 miles per hour. that's not going to bother you either. and temperatures on their way up with all the sunshine now. most locations should be back in the mid and upper 30s in the next couple hours. and front royal, virginia, 38 degrees, and up to 42 degrees by noontime today. and up into the mid and upper 40s this afternoon. 47 by 3:00 in the afternoon, and back down to 40 by 6:00 p.m. if you are going out to go to the movies or dinner this evening, you are going to need your winter court. and headed up to the ravens game, the only thing better than a redskins win is a giants loss. come on ravens. temperatures will be chilly, and bring your bundle up for sure. the game kicks off at 4:00. sundown before half-time, so a cold second half of the game. quiet up and down the

in the city's gun laws, joe? >> i don't think so quite honestly. we may change this, which is a far leap of what it used to be for many, many decades. this is also about schools, and if i am not mistaken, many of our schools already have school security guards and metal detectors. >> jerry, do you think d.c. can get a new gun ban passed? >> i don't think -- it depends on who is in congress, and depends on who is in the house. this was pulled out before, and a lot of challenges coming out of congress and the supreme court ruled on it. i don't think it's going to change anything necessarily right now. >> d.c., even with the change, has stricter gun control laws than most areas, so i don't think it's going to change much. >> let's tpwaubg what is happening in virginia. there's a number of proposals there. the governor has said that virginia should consider arming teachers, and so has the attorney general who is going to be running for governor, and we see slightly different proposals coming from the likely democratic nominee who has called for armed police officers at elementary school
